Light Tower

This is a short video from a lighting product manufacturer called HESS America, about a new exterior light fixture they've developed called the Light Tower. It responds to daylight (or lack thereof) conditions around it, it runs on low-energy consumption LEDs, and it provides a tremendous amount of luminosity over a large area (think: plaza space) for a single fixture. On top of that, its both sculptural and highly technological...perfect for a digital village, no?

EDIT: By the way, I found out that ONE of these towers costs $100,000.00. That might explain why there are only a handful of them in use in the world.
